# Create a ticket type

> Add a ticket type to the event. Only `name` is required; everything else falls back
to the event's defaults. A new ticket type is not sold on any form until a form lists
it — organizers add it to forms in Sessionboard.

Recorded in the event's History as an API change. Requires `write:registrations`.
